Our History in La Grange

Fry Trowbridge and Associates is a full-service tax, accounting, and business consulting firm located in La Grange, Indiana. The firm was founded by Randy D. Fry and has grown over the years to serve hundreds of individuals, families, and businesses throughout La Grange County and the surrounding region. In 2016, Randy Fry and Amber Taylor merged their practices, bringing together complementary expertise and a shared commitment to personal client service. Randy Fry and Amber Taylor are both certified public accountants.

New Ownership

Vince Kaiser

CPA, Co-Owner

Vince brings deep CPA experience and a commitment to continuing the firm’s tradition of personal, community-focused service. 

 

Vince worked in a “Big Four” audit practice and then spent many years at Citibank working in accounting, banking, and financial services. Vince has also been working with financial services organizations in a consulting and leadership capacity, helping them improve their processes and thoughtfully use technology to better support their teams and the clients they serve.

 

Mark Kaiser

CO-Owner

Mark joins the ownership team with a focus on operations and client relationships, helping guide the firm’s next chapter. 

 

Mark has spent much of his professional life as an entrepreneur, building and supporting businesses after nearly two decades working in healthcare technology. After years in larger organizations, Mark felt drawn to working in a smaller, close-knit business where he could truly know the people they work alongside and the clients they serve. Over the past 30 years, this firm has become a trusted pillar  of the LaGrange and surrounding communities, and the new ownership team feels incredibly fortunate to be part of its next chapter. 

Aisha Faridi

Co-Owner

Aisha brings a fresh perspective and leadership to the firm, supporting clients and the team through the ownership transition.

 

Aisha has spent the last 20 years in ad technology and forming lasting relationships with clients. Aisha has had the opportunity to work with both small and large organizations, and those experiences helped clarify the value of working in smaller environments and communities – places where people know one another and the work feels more meaningful.

Randy D. Fry

CPA, CVA, CGMA — Founding Partner

Randy founded the firm in 1996 after 13 years in banking, where he managed mortgage lending, commercial credit, and financial analysis. He specializes in helping companies become more profitable through tax planning, business consulting, and valuation, earning his Certified Valuation Analyst credential in 2001.

Amber Taylor

CPA, CFP®

Amber began her career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1993 in executive, corporate, and multi-state taxation, later specializing at Bayer Healthcare. She took the helm of Trowbridge Accounting in 2001 and earned her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 2008, with a passion for retirement and estate planning.

Mark Albert

Accountant

A 2016 Trine University graduate with a B.S. in business and a major in accounting. A career changer, Mark brings professional maturity, efficiency, and rigid attention to detail that helps clients stay on a clear path to financial success.

Teresa Phares

Staff Accountant & Payroll Manager

Teresa joined the firm in 2019 with an accounting degree from Franklin University. She prepares financial statements and individual tax returns and leads our payroll department with quality, timely, and efficient service.

Matt Shepperd

Staff Accountant

A 1999 graduate of Indiana State University, Matt works with small business and individual tax clients. His energy, curiosity, and attention to detail help clients grow and become more profitable.

Ashley Keifer

Bookkeeping, Controllership, client services

Ashley joined the team in 2023 from private industry, where she handled bookkeeping and controllership duties. Her experience supports the full-service accounting and controllership work our clients rely on.

Janet Mynhier

Client Services & administration

With more than twenty years in customer service and deep local roots, Janet welcomes clients by phone and in person and keeps our administrative team focused on client needs.

Connie Pfefferkorn

Payroll, Administration, Client services

Connie holds a master’s degree and works part-time in payroll and administration. Her strong mathematical skills and diligence give clients confidence in the quality of our work.

John Gearheart

Staff Accountant

John holds a B.S. in finance from Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne, a master’s degree in public accounting from Indiana Wesleyan University, and is currently pursuing his CPA. John prepares financial statements, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
